County Emergency Operations and Evacuations Plans

Response plans for you and local officials in the event of an emergency

In the event of an emergency that requires citizens to evacuate to a safe area, there are agreed-upon strategies already in place to ensure the process is handled as smoothly as possible. This plan also takes into account the many people with disabilities, and others access and/or functional needs who might need additional support in an evacuation.

SacOES is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Emergency Operations Plans for the County of Sacramento.  These plans provide a framework to guide a local government response during times of emergency. For your own personal preparedness plans, please visit SacramentoReady.org.

County After Action Reports

Following an incident or training exercise, county staff will compile information on what went well and opportunities for improvement.  The goal is to maintain training to continue what went well and to identify improvements to equipment, facilities, training and processes for those items that were challenging.
