Message to Wilton Residents Along the Cosumnes River for 2/9/17
This is the Sacramento County Department of Water Resources with a flood warning for residents along the Cosumnes River. The National Weather Service California Nevada River Forecast Center is forecasting that the river gauge at Michigan Bar will reach flood stage on February 9th at approximately 10 PM and crest 2 feet above flood stage on February 10th at approximately 4 AM. As a result, the river near Wilton Road Bridge is expected to reach flood stage. This is anticipated to occur on February 10th at approximately 1 PM. The river stage at the McConnell gauge at Highway 99 is forecast to remain above monitor stage, but below flood stage. Residents are strongly advised to take any precautionary actions they feel appropriate to protect themselves or property. Residents are encouraged to monitor rainfall amounts and stream gauge levels along the Cosumnes River until February 13th.
